According to media reports, Jordan Mason faced a fine of up to $120 for the misdemeanor citation but was ordered to pay only the court fees. Prosecutor Ryan Ryder said that is not unusual in such cases.
Mason disputes that he tossed a cigarette out of his car window but agreed to pay the money.
