Mitchell police seek owner of hit-and-run vehicle

Mitchell police are looking for the owner of a hit-and-run vehicle that caused about $1,500 in damage to the exterior of AT&T Pro Cellular, 510 E. Havens Ave., sometime between 4:15 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Mitchell police are looking for the owner of a hit-and-run vehicle that caused about $1,500 in damage to the exterior of AT&T Pro Cellular, 510 E. Havens Ave., sometime between 4:15 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.

According to a report filed by Mitchell Police Officer Kelly Loudenburg, a vehicle struck the front of the business, damaging aluminum fascia, breaking some bricks and loosening others.

The damage was found Monday by employees. The police report suggests that damage was likely from a truck or towed vehicle, since the impact point on the building was about 35 inches high.

No debris from the suspect vehicle was found at the scene and no video surveillance tapes are available.
