City: Remove leftover items from curb by Monday

All items placed on the curb that were not furniture or appliances, or items placed on the curb after collection crew had been through must be removed from the curb by Monday.

If these items remain on the curb next week, they will be disposed of properly and the current occupant will be billed for those services.

Grass clippings, leaves and other soft compostable items are accepted at the City of Mitchell drop off site located at 1405 W. Eighth St., which is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Batteries can be recycled by dropping them off at the City of Mitchell Landfill.

Tree branches, trees and brush of any kind can be disposed of at the City of Mitchell Landfill. Landfill hours next week are: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
