MHS prom, after-prom party set for Saturday

Plans are being finalized for the Mitchell High School after-prom party Saturday night, which is open to MHS juniors and seniors and their dates, at the Corn Palace.
For their $20 tickets, party attendees will receive a cooler bag, which contains various coupons and tickets from city businesses.
In addition to the goodie bag, teens will have unlimited access to food and drinks, be entertained by a hypnotist at 2:30 a.m. and have free run of games, including giant trike races, bungee run and volleyball. There will be two photo booths available with immediate prints.
Drawings for prizes will be held at 4 a.m. Among the prizes are flat screen TVs, a dorm-sized refrigerator and other items.
After-prom party chairwoman Lisa Neugebauer expects between 260 and 270 students to participate in the party.
The MHS prom starts with a 7 p.m. grand march at the Corn Palace, which is open to the public. The prom will run until midnight.
