Daugaard on tour of Afghanistan

PIERRE (AP) — Gov. Dennis Daugaard said Wednesday that his current trip to Kuwait and Afghanistan has given him a chance to catch up with some South Dakota National Guard troops he met nearly a year ago when they were first deployed.

PIERRE (AP) — Gov. Dennis Daugaard said Wednesday that his current trip to Kuwait and Afghanistan has given him a chance to catch up with some South Dakota National Guard troops he met nearly a year ago when they were first deployed.

Daugaard is traveling with Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee on a trip sponsored by the Department of Defense. The three spent Monday in Washington before flying to Kuwait.
