SIOUX FALLS (AP) — An Eagle Butte woman accused of using her vehicle as a weapon has been sentenced to more than two years in prison.
Authorities say 35-year-old Myrna LeClaire of Eagle Butte steered her vehicle into a male victim last August because she thought a relative of his had assaulted her teenage daughter. U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says the victim suffered injuries to his left hip, left leg and lower back.
LeClaire pleaded guilty in the case and was sentenced to 28 months in custody and two years on supervised release.
