An 18-year-old Geddes man was arrested April 5 for an alleged statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl.
Authorities allege Lorenzo James Moves Camp befriended the victim, whose name is not divulged in court documents, on Facebook before making arrangements to meet with her March 17 in Mitchell.
The victim later told a family member the two had consensual sexual intercourse during the meeting before the incident was reported to the Mitchell Police Division, court documents state.
Moves Camp faces a maximum of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine if convicted.
Moves Camp was released from Davison County Jail on April 6 after posting $500 bail. As conditions of his release, he is not allowed contact with the victim or allowed to enter Davison County unless for a court appearance.
Moves Camp is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
