Richard Cordray, director of consumer protection agency, talks loans with SD students

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — South Dakota Sen. Tim Johnson and the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are meeting with high school students and guidance counselors to talk about student loans.

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — South Dakota Sen. Tim Johnson and the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are meeting with high school students and guidance counselors to talk about student loans.

Johnson and director Richard Cordray will be discussing the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's student loan project on Wednesday.

The project is intended to provide students with better information about the cost of their student loans.

Johnson invited Cordray to visit South Dakota. The South Dakota Democrat is chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. The committee oversees the consumer agency.
