2 people killed in crash near Flandreau

FLANDREAU (AP) — Two women died and a third was injured after the car in which they were riding hit a bridge guardrail on Interstate 29.

FLANDREAU (AP) — Two women died and a third was injured after the car in which they were riding hit a bridge guardrail on Interstate 29.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports the accident happened north of Flandreau just after 7 a.m. on Sunday.

The patrol says the northbound car hit the bridge guard rail, spun and landed on the shoulder of the road that ran below the bridge.

Two women were thrown from the car. The patrol says none of them were wearing seat belts.

The crash victims weren't identified.
