EDGEMONT (AP) — An 81-year-old South Dakota woman was run over and killed by her own car while on a grocery shopping trip.

Fall River County authorities said the victim was Sylvia Marie Dibble of Edgemont.

Sheriff Rich Mraz says Dibble parked her car on a steep slope at a Hot Springs grocery store.

The sheriff tells the media that the store's surveillance video shows Dibble trying to get into her car when it rolled backward. The car knocked Dibble down and then rolled over her.

Dibble was taken to a Hot Springs hospital, where she was declared dead.

Mraz says the investigation continues but he doesn't think any crime was committed.
