RAPID CITY (AP) — A Rapid City teenager was hospitalized with a broken leg over the weekend after falling nearly 100 feet off the cliff at Falling Rock.

According to media reports, officials did not immediately identify the 16-year-old boy or say what he was doing Saturday at the site west of Rapid City that is popular with climbers.

Some visitors say better signs would make the site safer. Veteran rock climber Christopher Peters says people just need to be smart while they're having fun.
