SIOUX FALLS (AP) — The South Dakota Department of Tourism is unveiling a new campaign aimed at tapping into Americans' love of traveling and desire to visit places with a historical significance.
The marketing campaign is called "Your American Journey." It replaces the state's previous campaign that made "Great Faces. Great Places" synonymous with South Dakota.
Tourism Secretary Jim Hagen says the Department decided it was time for a fresh perspective that would reach visitors on an emotional level.
The new campaign will appear in TV commercials, print ads and a redesigned Department of Tourism website.
