Walter Henkel, 90, De Smet, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Good Samaritan Center, De Smet.

He was born on Aug. 27, 1921.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, De Smet, with the Rev. Gregg Frankman officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery, Iroquois.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Osthus Funeral Home, De Smet, with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service.
