A 19-year-old Mitchell man pleaded no contest to accusations he exposed himself to two young boys between June 1 and Dec. 16.
Jonathan Robert Chapman appeared in court Tuesday at the Davison County Public Safety Center for an incident act in which he is alleged to have exposed himself to two boys under the age of 13 at his residence in Mitchell.
In exchange for Chapman’s plea, the state agreed to drop two charges of abuse or cruelty to a minor and to recommend a suspended execution of his sentence.
Chapman had previously pleaded not guilty to all charges.
He faces a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a $4,000 fine for each indecent exposure charge.
Judge Sean O’Brien ordered a presentence investigation and psychosexual evaluation, and scheduled Chapman’s sentencing for May.
