Chamberlain and Winner earn most BDC selections

The Big Dakota Conference announced its 2012 all-conference basketball selections on Monday.

Winner and Chamberlain each had three boys picked for the all-conference team, as well as one honorable mention.

Winner’s selections were Austin Schroeder, Ben Connot and Kyle Mathis, with Donovan Brother of All earning honorable mention.

Chamberlain’s Colton Anderson, Gage Basting and Tyson Langdeau were picked for the all-conference team while Traxton Priebe was an honorable mention.

Winner’s Tawny Barry was the only girl from the team to make the girls’ all-conference team, while Katie Mathis was selected as an honorable mention.

Chamberlain’s Jaymee Knippling and Kennedy Wagner both were selected to the all-conference squad.

Chamberlain basketball puts four on SESD list

The South Eastern South Dakota conference announced its all-conference boys’ basketball team on Monday.

Chamberlain had the most players on the list with four — Tyson Langdeau, Gage Basting, Skyler Bertram and Traxton Priebe.

Platte-Geddes and Parkston each had three selections. Richard Sternberg, Matthew Randall and Coby Johnson were Platte-Geddes’ selections while Parkston was represented by Spencer Lucas, Parker Van Zee and Tanner Weber.

Wagner’s Jack Robinson led all players in votes to the team and was joined on the list by fellow teammate Noah St. Pierre.

Bon Homme’s Cody Larson and Charlie Bentzen made the all-conference team, as well as Gregory’s Nolyn Mikkelson.

LMV announces all-conference selections Monday

Fifteen boys’ basketball players from the Little Missouri Valley Conference found out on Monday that they had been named to the all-conference team.

Parkston athletes Tanner Weber, Spencer Lucas, Parker Van Zee and Zach Scott were recognized, giving Parkston the most selections on the list.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour had three selections with Adam Fink, Trevor Payer and Reese Weber.

Wagner and Bon Homme each had two selections to the all-conference team. Wagner’s Jack Robinson and Noah St. Pierre were honored, as well as Bon Homme’s Cody Larson and Charlie Bentzen.

Andes Central’s Gabe Cournoyer and Scotland’s Dalton Mogck were also selected to the all-conference team.

Cornbelt, CBH conference all-star games on for today

The annual all-star basketball games between the Cornbelt Conference and Custer Battlefield Highway Conference will be played today.

The girls will tip off at 5:30 p.m. with the boys’ game following them at 7:15 p.m. at the Hanson High School gymnasium in Alexandria.
