CUSTER (AP) — The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 59-year-old Custer man was killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash near Wind Cave National Park.

Trooper say Michael C. Mahutga was traveling south on U.S. Highway 385 about 10 miles north of Hot Springs when his vehicle drifted off the road Saturday morning. The patrol says Mahutga overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle.

Mahutga was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The patrol says Mahutga was the only occupant of the vehicle.
