A Fort Thompson man pleaded guilty Wednesday to failure to register as a sex offender.

A Fort Thompson man pleaded guilty Wednesday to failure to register as a sex offender.

Kyle Gene Marks, 27, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

Marks was indicted on the charge by a federal grand jury in January.

His status as a sex offender stems from a 2004 conviction for one count of abusive sexual contact with a child.

A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and a sentencing date was set for June 5.
