Jackrabbit women to play Purdue on Saturday

The South Dakota State University women’s basketball team has learned they will travel to Indiana on Saturday to take on Purdue in the NCAA tournament.

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — The South Dakota State University women’s basketball team has learned they will travel to Indiana on Saturday to take on Purdue in the NCAA tournament.

The Jackrabbits are making their fourth consecutive trip to the dance after beating UMKC in overtime 78-77 on March 6 to win the Summit League championship. The trophy carries with it an automatic bid to the national tournament.

The Jackrabbits are the 13th seed, while Purdue is the fourth seed.
