Jackrabbits to play Baylor in NCAA tourney

SIOUX FALLS(AP) — South Dakota State University will be playing Baylor in the second round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament.

SIOUX FALLS(AP) — South Dakota State University will be playing Baylor in the second round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament.

It's the first tournament appearance for the Jackrabbits in school history.

South Dakota State is in the tournament's South region. They will play Baylor on Thursday in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

South Dakota State earned an automatic berth in the tournament by winning the Summit League's post-season tournament Tuesday night.

Both Baylor and the Jackrabbits have 27-7 records. Baylor finished third in the Big 12 conference and lost to Missouri in the finals of the Big 12 post-season tournament.

Baylor is seeded third in the region, while South Dakota State is seeded 14th.
