South Central Conference announces basketball awards

The South Central Conference announced its all-conference boys’ and girls’ basketball selections based on a vote by the conference’s coaches on Wednesday.

The conference includes South Central, Dakota Christian, Platte-Geddes, Colome, Gregory and Andes Central.

The girls’ all-conference selections are Kellie Winckler (AC), Kelly Knudson (PG), Sarah DeWaard (DC), Josie DeGroot (PG), Kellee Griese (PG), Skylar Forgey (C), Whitney Hutchison (SC), Laurel Zomer (DC), Ashley Green (SC), Taylor Pistulka (SC), Krista Winckler (AC) and Chloe Kenzy (SC). Honorable mention selections are Tracy Routh (C), Brooklyn Vander Pol (DC), Paxten Johnson (G), Baili McCance (G), Courtney Peterson (G), Tonya Talsma (G), Taylor Anshutz (G) and Shelby Rabenberg (PG).

The boys’ all-conference selections are Tyler Frank (SC), Michael Buitenbos (DC), Dillon Werkmeister (PG), Cody Wagner (PG), Richard Sternberg (PG), Jordan Nelson (C), Jake Spoelstra (DC), Nolyn Mikkelson (G), Matthew Randall (PG), Dakota Votaw (SC), Connor Florey (AC) and Terrance Kinzer (C). Honorable mentions are Gabe Cournoyer (AC), Brian Juran (SC), Gavin Thomas (G), Brady London (C), Cohl Raterman (C) and Jordan Janousek (SC).
