Stanley County grass fires deemed suspicious

PIERRE (AP) — Authorities are investigating three suspicious grass fires in South Dakota's Stanley County in the last month.

PIERRE (AP) — Authorities are investigating three suspicious grass fires in South Dakota's Stanley County in the last month.

Fort Pierre Fire Chief Rick Cronin tells the media that two of the fires were in the Oahe Dam area and the third was south of Fort Pierre.

The latest blaze burned two acres of grassland and some trees Tuesday near the dam. No buildings were threatened.
