Congratulations to Croix Erickson, Tate Sutherland and the Bantam “A” Mitchell Marlins on winning the state championship in Brookings with a 19-0 undefeated season.
Congratulations also to Miles Moody for placing eighth; Brian Vermeulen for placing sixth and Shay Johnson for winning first in the wrestleback match at the state wrestling tournament in Rapid City.
Activities for this week:
Tuesday, the boys region basketball tournament will be in Huron.
The Girls State B basketball tournament will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Huron.
Thursday is the end of the third quarter of the 2011-2012 school term.
Friday, there will be no school in Mount Vernon due to spring break.
