LETTER: Best birth control is to stop having kids

Giving all women free access to contraceptives might be a good plan. The world is already overpopulated; we have missionaries all over the world trying to save those starving babies. What those missionaries should be doing is teaching those people how not to have all those babies that they cannot feed or care for.

To the Editor:

There has been a lot of fuss about a plan to have all working women have access to free contraceptives, and who is going to pay for it?

At last report, the insurance companies are going to have to pay for it. I do not see how the government can force any company or person to pay for anything that is not part of their business. Seems to me that would be an infringement on their freedom and therefore unconstitutional. If the government is going to pass legislation that all working women are to have free access to contraceptives, the government would have to pay for the program with government funds that would have to come out of the government tax base.

Giving all women free access to contraceptives might be a good plan. The world is already overpopulated; we have missionaries all over the world trying to save those starving babies. What those missionaries should be doing is teaching those people how not to have all those babies that they cannot feed or care for.
