Chamberlain beats Crow Creek 52-48

CHAMBERLAIN — Chamberlain came back from a seven-point third quarter deficit to defeat Crow Creek 52-48 in the District 12A semifinals Thursday. Tyson Langdeau scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Cubs. Colton Anderson scored 12 points. Gage Basting grabbed seven rebounds.

CHAMBERLAIN — Chamberlain came back from a seven-point third quarter deficit to defeat Crow Creek 52-48 in the District 12A semifinals Thursday.

Tyson Langdeau scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Cubs. Colton Anderson scored 12 points. Gage Basting grabbed seven rebounds.

Chamberlain shot 15-of-27 from the free-throw line. The Cubs grabbed 21 rebounds as a team and turned the ball over 11 times.

Conrad Medicine Crow was the leading scorer for Crow Creek with 16 points. JJ Shields and Randy Marks each added eight points. Marks was the leading rebounder with 12.

The Chieftains shot 5-of-14 from the free-throw line. The team had a total 31 rebounds and committed 19 turnovers.

Chamberlain (18-3) plays Miller in the District 12A championship Saturday at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined. Crow Creek ends its season with a 13-8 record.

James Valley Christian 73,

Wessington Springs 40

HURON — Adam Hofer scored a game-high 25 points to lead James Valley Christian over Wessington Springs 73-40 in the District 9B semifinals Thursday.

Nathan Wedel added 17 points for the Vikings. Andrew Ulvestad scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Hofer led the team in assists with six.

James Valley Christian shot 25-of-44 from the field and 18-of-22 from the free-throw line. The Vikings had 30 team rebounds and committed 16 turnovers.

Trevor Kenobbie led the Spartans offense with 11 points. Gus Gran added 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Gran also led the team in steals with six and in assists with 12.

Wessington Springs shot 5-of-14 from the free-throw line. The Spartans pulled down 21 rebounds as a team and had 18 turnovers.

James Valley Christian (17-4) plays Wolsey-Wessington in the District 9B championship Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Huron Arena. Wessington Springs finishes the season with a 9-12 record.

Winner 102, St. Francis Indian 38

WINNER — Winner had five players score in double figures as Winner defeated St. Francis Indian 102-38 in the District 13A semifinals Thursday.

Winner was led by Ben Connot, who scored 19 points. Kyle Mathis scored 15 points. Donovan Brother of All scored 14 points and had 12 steals. Isaiah Old Lodge scored 13 points. Tanner Fritz scored 11 points.

Winner shot 39-of-72 from the field and 16-of-23 from the free-throw line. The Warriors grabbed 40 rebounds and had 12 turnovers.

St. Francis Indian was led by James Henry with 17 points. St. Francis shot 12-of-58 from the field and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line. The Warriors grabbed 22 team rebounds and had 24 turnovers.

Winner (17-4) takes on Todd County in the District 13A championship at 7 p.m. Saturday in Gregory. St. Francis Indian finishes its season 3-18.
