SIOUX FALLS (AP) — A Pine Ridge man accused of using a baseball bat to kill another man has pleaded not guilty.

Thirty-one-year-old Antoine Bissonette is to stand trial in federal court in early May on charges of second-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter in the Feb. 12 death of Daniel Bad Milk.

U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Bissonette could face life in prison if convicted.
