The Mitchell Christian vs. Plankinton boys’ District 10B basketball game has been rescheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. at Mitchell Christian School due to weather conditions.
Area high school boys’ basketball: Hitchcock-Tulare vs. Aberdeen Christian at Aberdeen Civic Arena; Howard vs. Dell Rapids St. Mary at Dell Rapids St. Mary; Highmore-Harrold vs. Faulkton Area; Alcester-Hudson vs. Gayville Volin in Centerville; Kadoka Area vs. Crazy Horse in White River.
Area high school girls’ basketball: Tri-Valley vs. West Central at McCook Central/Montrose; Wagner vs. Parkston in Wagner; Miller vs. Crow Creek in Chamberlain.
At the Palace:
Today, at the Corn Palace, there will be three district basketball games played.
At 5:45 p.m., the Mitchell girls’ basketball team will take on Huron in a District 3AA semifinal game.
Records: Mitchell is 19-1 overall and 14-0 in the Eastern South Dakota Conference. Huron is 2-18 overall and 1-13 in the ESD.
Notes: Mitchell claimed the ESD conference title last Tuesday with its win against Aberdeen Central. Huron lost 66-48 in its last game against Yankton.
At 7:15 p.m., South Central plays Marty Indian in a boys’ basketball District 12B semifinal game.
Records: South Central is 9-10 and Marty Indian is 10-10.
Notes: South Central won the last matchup between the two teams 64-60 on Feb. 2.
At 8:30 p.m. Tripp-Delmont/Armour will play Colome in a boys’ basketball District 12B semifinal game.
Records: Tripp-Delmont/Armour is 14-6 and Colome is 7-11.
Notes: Tripp-Delmont/Armour is the number one seed in boys’ District 12B. Colome is coming off a 57-53 double overtime win against Dakota Christian on Saturday.
Next: Three boys’ district basketball games will be played. The Mitchell boys’ basketball team takes on Aberdeen Central at 5:45 p.m. Hanson plays Menno in a District 11B semifinal game at 7:15 p.m. and Avon faces off against Ethan in another District 11B semifinal game at 8:45 p.m.
