BROOKINGS (AP) — Nate Wolters had game highs of 22 points and eight assists as South Dakota State won its 15th straight home game, beating Buffalo 86-65 on Saturday.
Griffan Callahan hit three 3-pointers and scored 21 points for the Jackrabbits (22-7), a Summit League team for whom the BracketBusters victory was its third in a row. Tony Fiegen added 11 points.
Buffalo, which dropped its second straight, never led. But the Bulls trailed only 21-18 late in the first half when the Jackrabbits went on a 10-0 run for a 31-18 edge with 2:44 before the break.
The Bulls never got closer than nine after that, and the lead peaked at 23 points in the final minutes.
South Dakota State shot 49 percent (27 of 55).
