Avera Hospice, Mitchell, announces the launching of its annual fundraiser, Roses Just Because, sponsored by the Avera Queen of Peace Foundation.

Individuals may purchase a dozen long-stemmed roses for only $20 and help support hospice at the same time. A selection of colors will again be available; however, orders for specific colors are not available.

This is the 17th year the fundraiser has been sponsored.

Last year, volunteers from the hospital and community helped to raise more than $14,000 with sales of 1,260 dozen roses.

This year, a goal has been set to sell 1,400 dozen roses to continue to help those in need through hospice care.

Orders also may be placed online at www.AveraQueenofPeace.org.

All orders must be placed and prepaid by Monday, March 12.

Roses will be available for pick up on April 16 and 17 at the maintenance garage at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital; times will be announced at a later date.
