The Mount Vernon High School local science fair results are as follows: grades 9-12 winners: first, Phil Millar; second, Alainia Bertsch; third, Tate Sutherland and Cody Renken; Junior winners: first, Alaina Bertsch; second, Megan Wieczorek and Delayna Paulson; third, Brian Vermeulen; Sophomore winners: first, Phil Millar; second Derec Denning and Bobby Beach-Pattison; third, Hannah Parsons; Freshman winners: Tate Sutherland and Cody Renken; Haley Hinker and Caitlyn Dikoff; third, Charlie and Abby Mahaffey and Sierra Hardie.

• Activities for the week of Feb. 13-20 include:
Today, the Fillies basketball team travels to Mitchell Christian, with the JV game beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the varsity at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, the Mustangs basketball team travels to James Valley Christian, with a junior high game beginning at 5:15 p.m., a JV game at 6:30 and the varsity game at 7:45 p.m.
Thursday, the Mustangs varsity basketball team will play Wolsey-Wessington at 7:15 p.m. in the Corn Palace.
Friday is an SESD Day. A cheerleading clinic will be held beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the gym, with participants performing at halftime of the varsity game.
The Mustangs basketball team will host Parkston with the junior high game beginning at 4 p.m., the JV game at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game at 7:45 p.m.
Saturday, the Regional wrestling tournament will be held in Parkston.
On Feb. 20, there will be no school due to Presidents Day.
