MADISON (AP) - A Watertown man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 72-year-old man in Madison.
Attorney General Marty Jackley and Lake County States Attorney Ken Meyer said Wednesday night that 73-year-old Carl V. Ericsson has been arrested on one count of first-degree murder for the shooting death of Norman Johnson.
Johnson was shot to death Tuesday night around 7:30 p.m.
The shooting has left the community on edge. Police asked residents not to answer doors as they searched for the suspect. An area school district was also on temporary lockdown.
