Records: Mitchell is 13-1 overall and 10-0 in the Eastern South Dakota Conference. Pierre is 3-11 overall and 2-7 in the ESD.
Notes: Mitchell is the top team in the ESD and is on an eight-game winning streak. The Kernels’ last loss was on Jan. 2 against Sioux Falls Lincoln in Sioux Falls. … Pierre has won two if its last three games. The Lady Governors beat Huron 50-46 on Jan. 24 and beat Spearfish 50-44 on Jan. 27.
Next: Dakota Wesleyan University hosts Morningside in Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s and women’s basketball games on Wednesday. The women’s game starts at 6 p.m. and the men play at 8 p.m.
