Mitchell teen arrested on felony drug charges

A Mitchell man was arrested Jan. 11 after police allegedly found evidence during a search of his apartment that he had been selling marijuana.

A Mitchell man was arrested Jan. 11 after police allegedly found evidence during a search of his apartment that he had been selling marijuana.

Trevor Jacob Kohlrus, 19, was arrested after Mitchell police conducted a parole search of his apartment and reportedly found several bags of marijuana, including three individually packaged bags. Police also reported finding $500 and a single Adderall pill.

The police report states Kohlrus admitted to selling marijuana.

Kohlrus was charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor as a result of the search.

For the Adderall pill, Kohlrus could receive 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine, as possession of the substance is a Class 4 felony.

In addition to that charge, Kohlrus could receive two years in prison and a $4,000 fine for allegedly distributing marijuana.

For possession of marijuana, a Class 1 misdemeanor, he could face one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
