Petitions available Friday for Sioux Falls council

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Sioux Falls residents hoping to vie for one of the four available seats on the City Council can soon pick up petitions at the City Clerk's Office.

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Sioux Falls residents hoping to vie for one of the four available seats on the City Council can soon pick up petitions at the City Clerk's Office.

The petitions will be available starting Friday for posts representing the Northeast District, the Northwest District, the Southwest District and an At-Large seat. The municipal election will be April 10.

The media reports that Councilor Vernon Brown is term limited, while the remaining three incumbents plan to fight for their seats. They are Kenny Anderson Jr. of the Northeast District; Dean Karsky of the Northwest, and Greg Jamison of the Southwest.

The filing deadline for petitions is Feb. 24.
