Jackpot Gamblin’ owner Brad Jamison said local input and comments from Jackpot fans posted on Facebook convinced him the 22-year-old Mitchell landmark needs a proper send-off.
“We weren’t going to, but we decided we’re going to have a last big bash at the Jackpot this weekend,” Jamison said. He announced the bar’s closure earlier this month.
The last blast will also be an opportunity to liquidate a hefty liquid inventory.
“We’re going to throw a big party for everybody and rekindle old memories,” Jamison said.
The final two days will be today from 3 p.m. until 2 a.m. and Saturday from noon to 2 a.m.
After that, it’s lights out, Jamison said. There will be a live disc jockey both days.
“It’s one last fun time at the Jackpot,” Jamison said.
