CORSICA — Cody Wright, of Corsica, is one of 59 semi-finalists who will compete at the Case Construction Equipment Triple Threat Rodeo Championship event on Jan. 24 at the 2012 World of Concrete show in Las Vegas.

Wright, who works for Don Schrank in Corsica, will face off against the most talented equipment operators in North America in a series of skill-testing challenges using a Case skid steer loader, wheel loader and loader/backhoe, three machines in common use in construction, landscaping and related applications.

Wright won the local Triple Threat Rodeo competition on June 3 at Titan Machinery, the Case dealership in Sioux Falls, where he received a $500 cash prize.

From a field of more than 1,900 participants who competed in 54 Case Triple Threat Rodeo events across the United States and Canada this year, Wright and the other semi-finalists will be vying for the title of North American Champion and the grand prize of a new Case TR270 compact track loader and a Towmaster trailer for their sponsoring company, and a new Dodge Ram 2500 SLT truck for the winner.

In conjunction with the championship, attendees of the 2012 World of Concrete show can compete to win a Case parts locker loaded with $3,500 worth of Jack Link’s beef jerky products. The total value of all prizes exceeds $140,000.

Wright’s fans can follow his progress during the championship competition on the Case page on Facebook at www.facebook.com/caseconstruction.

Wright has operated construction equipment for three years.
