Organizers seeking money for SD flood anniversary
RAPID CITY (AP) — Organizers of a ceremony in Rapid City marking the 40th anniversary of a devastating flood are hoping to raise $50,000 to covers the costs of the event.

The media reports that the event, scheduled for June 8-10, will commemorate the 1972 flood that killed 238 people in the Black Hills.
Donations for the events can be sent to the Black Hills Area Community Foundation/Flood 40th Anniversary Fund, P.O. Box 231, Rapid City, S.D. 57709, or BHACF/Flood 40th Anniversary Fund, c/o Mayor's Office, 300 Main St., Rapid City, S.D. 57701.
Checks should be made out to BHACF/Flood 40th Anniversary Fund.
