BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — The FBI says a home intruder and armed carjack suspect also is a suspect in three bank robberies in the Twin Cities and Fargo, N.D.

Forty-four-year-old William Roy St. John, of Sisseton, was taken into custody over the weekend. Authorities allege St. John stole a car from a driver outside Lucky 13’s Pub in Bloomington Saturday. Police say the suspect entered a house about a mile away and stole a Cadillac. A brief time later, police got a call about a home invasion and a man who was struggling with residents. That’s when St. John was arrested.

St. John is charged in Hennepin County with aggravated robbery, burglary and attempted kidnapping. A spokesman for the Hennepin County Attorney’s office did not know if St. John has an attorney.

Federal investigators suspect St. John robbed a bank in Arden Hills last Wednesday, a bank in Fargo on New Year’s Eve and another bank in Bloomington on Jan. 2.
