HARRISBURG (AP) — Authorities are investigating the cause of a house explosion in southeast South Dakota that injured a man and his adult daughter.

The names of the 49-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were not immediately released. Lincoln County Emergency Manager Harold Timmerman says the woman was treated at a Sioux Falls hospital and the man was flown to a Minneapolis-area burn center after the blast about 3 p.m. Monday in the house in a small rural development about five miles northwest of Harrisburg.

Timmerman says propane gas might be related to the explosion and fire that burned the home to the ground. The state fire marshal was being called in Tuesday.
