BROOKINGS (AP) — A North Dakota woman has died after a single-vehicle rollover crash along Interstate 29 in South Dakota.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 30-year-old Nicolette Anne Wolf Leader, of Grand Forks, N.D., was driving an SUV northbound about 10 miles south of Brookings Tuesday night when the vehicle went into the median near milepost 122.
The vehicle rolled, and Wolf Leader was thrown from the vehicle. She was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The Highway Patrol says Wolf Leader was not wearing a seat belt and was texting while driving, which may have been a factor in the crash.
Two children in the car were wearing seat belts and uninjured.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
