The media reports that voice and data services were disrupted for about seven hours Tuesday. Police in Pierre say there was no apparent disruption to the emergency 911 system in the capital city.
The state Public Utilities Commission on Wednesday was gathering information about the outage that ended about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
