Fridley, Pollard wed in August ceremony
Melanie Fridley and Travis Pollard were married on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mitchell, with the Rev. Larry Regynski officiating.

Parents of the couple are Thomas Fridley, Artesian, and Vicki Zellmer, Mitchell; and Daniel Pollard, Mount Vernon, and Kim Vermeulen, Mitchell.
Matron of honor was Angie Fridley. Bridesmaids were Nicole Hansen, Tiffany Weidner, Bobbi Fridley and Kara Zilla. Flower girls were Sheridan Hansen, Tayla Liedtke, Chayda Johnson and Kaidence Fridley.
Best man was Travis Koester. Groomsmen were Mark VanDusseldorp, John Waring, Jim Fridley and Cody Schultz. Ring bearers were Keaton Fridley and Henry Fridley.
A reception and dance were held at the Moose Lodge, Mitchell.
Melanie is a 2005 graduate of Sanborn Central High School, Forestburg. She attended Mitchell Technical Institute and graduated in 2007 with a degree in medical assisting and in 2011 with a radiology tech degree. She is employed at Avera Weskota Hospital and Horizon Health Care, Wessington Springs.
Travis is a 2003 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He attended Mitchell Technical Institute and graduated in 2005 with a degree in architectural drafting and building construction and in 2007 with a degree in ag tech animal science. He is employed at Groh’s Farms, Gann Valley, as a ranch hand and truck driver. He is also a professional rodeo cowboy.
The couple will live in Gann Valley.
