STURGIS(AP) — Two iconic bars on Main Street in Sturgis have been sold at auction.
STURGIS(AP) — Two iconic bars on Main Street in Sturgis have been sold at auction.
Local businessman Rick Schmid bought Gunner's Lounge for $480,000 on Thursday. The Fireside Oasis Lounge went for $850,000 to the PSI Trust. The holders of the trust were not revealed. Deals on the two bars sold by the local Chaffee family are to close by the end of the year.
Sturgis in western South Dakota is the site of the famed Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which draws hundreds of thousands of people each summer.
