Iowa man dies 2 weeks after crash near Chamberlain

CHAMBERLAIN (AP) — An Iowa man has died of injuries he received in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 in central South Dakota two weeks ago.

CHAMBERLAIN (AP) — An Iowa man has died of injuries he received in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 in central South Dakota two weeks ago.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 37-year-old Ramon Castillo, of Estherville, Iowa, died Saturday at a Sioux Falls hospital.

Chamberlain Police had been pursuing the car Castillo was driving when it crashed about two miles east of Chamberlain on Nov. 11. Castillo and 54-year-old Leon Escutia Contreras, also of Estherville, were thrown from the vehicle. Contreras died at the crash scene.

The Highway Patrol says neither man was wearing a seat-belt.
