Schmidt, Unruh married in June

Katie Schmidt and Brandon Unruh were married on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Olathe, Kan., with the Rev. Joel Schultz officiating.

Parents of the couple are David and Susan Schmidt, Olathe, Kan.; and Bob and Cindy Unruh, Mitchell.

Maid of honor was Jamie Whyte. Bridesmaids were Jessica Nick and Mary Spargur. Flower girls were Morgan Newbanks and Emma Fischer.

Best man was Logan Beiswanger. Groomsmen were Josh Weber and Shawn Walker. Ring bearers were Addison Whyte and Jacobi Whyte.

Ushers were Jake Case and Adam Whyte.

A reception was held at the Ball Conference Center, Olathe.

Katie is a 2007 graduate of Olathe South High school and a 2010 graduate of Dakota State University, Madison with a degree in elementary education. She is a teacher at Harmony Middle School, Blue Valley School District, Olathe.

Brandon is a 2006 graduate of Mitchell High School and a 2010 graduate of DSU with a double major in marketing and management. He is a personal banker with Community America Credit Union, Olathe.

The couple will live in Olathe.
