Holiday-related closings set; no paper Thursday

The Daily Republic will not publish a print edition Thursday, and its offices will be closed.

The newspaper also received the following Thanksgiving-related closings and announcements.

• No garbage collection on Thursday in Mitchell. Garbage for both days will be collected on Friday, beginning at 7 a.m. Collection will resume the normal schedule on Monday. Dependable Recycling will follow the city schedule and the Regional Landfill will be closed on Thursday.

• Dakota Wesleyan University will be closed Thursday and Friday. Classes will resume at 8 a.m. Monday. The McGovern Library will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and closed Thursday through Saturday. It will reopen from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday and return to regular library hours on Monday. Java City closed at 3 p.m. Tuesday and will reopen with regular hours Monday.

• Mitchell Technical Institute will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. Regular hours will resume on Monday.

• Mitchell Public Library will close at 6 p.m. today and remain closed through Thursday.

Regular hours will resume on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
