Getting a business degree from an accredited university just got easier.

Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, is scheduled to begin offering a bachelor of arts degree in business administration online — this is a four-year program offered entirely online.

The prerequisites require the prospective student to have all general education requirements and at least an associate’s degree equivalent completed before beginning the program.

Students who do not have all their general education requirements complete may find some available online and during the summers.

“This will enable a person who perhaps completed their general education requirements at DWU or another school to obtain a full business degree without having to be on campus,” said Wade Druin, associate business professor and business department chairman.

“We see this opportunity as extremely helpful for people who left college, want a degree, but don’t want to start over; or maybe he or she is a working parent and just cannot fit class time into the schedule.”

The degree is available beginning January 2012. Contact the DWU registrar’s office at 995-2647 for more information, or Druin at wadruin@dwu.edu.
