Pierre car theft results in kidnapping arrest
PIERRE (AP) — Police in Pierre arrested a Kennebec man they say took a woman's car when she went inside a store and then crashed it with a 2-year-old girl in the back seat.
PIERRE (AP) — Police in Pierre arrested a Kennebec man they say took a woman's car when she went inside a store and then crashed it with a 2-year-old girl in the back seat.
Authorities say the suspect and the girl were taken to a hospital after the man flipped the vehicle and knocked down a light pole early Thursday, but neither was seriously hurt.
The 35-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of kidnapping, theft, driving under the influence and driving recklessly. The media reports that he is scheduled to make his first court appearance Monday.
