SD first lady to read to Mitchell children

South Dakota’s first lady, Linda Daugaard, will read to third-, fourth- and fifth-graders at three area schools Tuesday.

South Dakota’s first lady, Linda Daugaard, will read to third-, fourth- and fifth-graders at three Mitchell schools Tuesday.

Her schedule is: Mitchell Christian, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; Longfellow Elementary, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.; and Gertie Belle Rogers Elementary, 2 to 3 p.m.

Daugaard is traveling the state of South Dakota to promote literacy. Part of this initiative is going to every elementary school in the state and reading to third-, fourth- and fifth-graders.
