The Mitchell Aquatic Club picked up five individual championships at a home meet at the YWCA in Sioux Falls.
Members of the MAC competed in a sprint pentathlon and a distance pentathlon, each consisting of an even of the four strokes and an individual medley combined to determine the final overall rankings.
MAC picked up three champions in the sprint event. In the 9-10 girls’ division, Mackenzie Miller took first; in the girls’ 13-14 division, Tevyn Waddell took first. In the boys’ 9-10 division, Ethan Huber took first.
In the distance event, Cailey Scott was champion of the girls’ 9-10 division and Ethan Huber was champion of the boys’ 9-10 division.
Jackson Ebert took third in the 8-and-under boys’ sprint; Scott took third in the girls’ 9-10 sprint; Max Huber took fourth in the boys’ 9-10 sprint; and Gage Nelson took second in the boys’ 11-12 sprint.
Also in the sprint, Karlie Brown took fourth in the girls’ 13-14; Christian Fossum and Gray Determan took third and fourth, respectively, in the boys’ 13-14; and Isaac Smith took third in the boys’ 15-and-over division.
In the distance, Gage Nelson took third in the boys’ 11-12 division; Max Alexander took third in the boys’ 9-10 division; and Mackenzie Miller took second in the girls’ 9-10.
