Heidi Linngren appointed to Seventh Judicial Circuit bench

RAPID CITY (AP) — The South Dakota Supreme Court has approved the appointment of Assistant Attorney General Heidi Linngren as a magistrate judge in the Seventh Judicial Circuit.

Linngren is a graduate of Northern State and the University of South Dakota law school. The Rapid City resident worked as a law clerk, a public defender and a private practice attorney before working in the attorney general's office.

Seventh Circuit Presiding Judge Jeff Davis says Linngren's appointment as a magistrate judge is effective Nov. 24.

The Seventh Judicial Circuit includes the counties of Pennington, Custer, Fall River and Shannon.
